“RPT” stands for “Registered Piano Technician“.

This designation is conferred by a national USA organization called PTG, or Piano Technicians Guild.

PTG is recognized world-wide as the leading examination authority for Piano Technology and Piano Technicians, and as a provider of continuing education in Piano Technology through multiple, year-round venues through its main office in Kansas City, Kansas, and its many Chapters located throughout the USA.RPTs are also the teachers of Piano Technology for PTG.
